Have you noticed how difficult it is to make good decisions? We have an enemy that wants to make our decision-making process difficult, if not impossible. Why is that? Because we follow Jesus Christ as guests and pilgrims through this world in obedience to Him.
Hi, my name is Burje Duro and welcome to my blog!
Throughout life’s journey, we are constantly making decisions. The decisions that we make will often have cascading effects. I’m truly grateful for times when I’ve had guidance or the counsel of others to help me make the right decisions. Above all, I’m grateful for the wisdom and counsel of God, given to me through His Holy Spirit and His Holy Word. He will always lead us into all truth!
However, there are those times that I have suffered the consequences of my uninformed, foolish or spur-of-the-moment decisions.
We’re on the Journey together
This blog is to help followers of Christ Jesus in their journey through life. This blog will help you to make better decisions in your life. Therefore I will write articles about what I wish I had known earlier in life and about scripture I wish I had paid more attention to. If I had paid more attention to God’s Word, I could have easily avoided most of the heartbreak and pain I have had to go through in life. In addition, I will also be writing on topics that are on my heart.
If you are just starting out in the Christian faith, trying to follow Jesus in full obedience, this blog is for you.
If you don’t know which part of the rope called Christianity is heads or tails, this blog is for you.
Even if you’re way ahead in Christian maturity and have grown more into the likeness of Christ, I’m sure you’ll find something here for you.
You can apply these articles directly to your life and grow in Christian maturity.
The Bible says that “… all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Rom. 8:28). Dear brothers and sisters, what I have learned in my life, will now be used for your good.
I pray that this little blog will bless you and help you on your journey back home, to our Father’s Heavenly Kingdom. May it will teach you what to focus on and what to ignore in life. May you grow and mature as followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reveal His glory to mankind during your stay here on Earth!
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” (1 Thess. 5:23-24)
